This image was not actually planned, but instead a byproduct of me sitting in place waiting for a supermoon to rise in the other direction. As the sun was setting, I looked around my campsite and admired the 360-degree views. The silence only added to the beauty. A few minutes after sunset, the sky began to descend into a deep yellow/amber hue. The color of the sky provided the dramatic contrast to the deep greens and blues of the desert plants and rolling mountains below. I found this duo of Joshua trees that seemed to be dancing with one another. I made the decision to focus only on the closest tree and let the remainder of the scene fade out of focus, providing a different approach to a typical landscape photograph.
