On this morning, I battled 70mph howling wind gusts to see the full moon setting over the Rocky Mountains in Rocky Mountain National Park. Shortly after the sun had begun the rise, the winds picked up considerably and I found myself barely able to hike. After an attempt at heading further into the popular Bear Lake Trails, I decided to head back to my car to warm up. At one point, I looked back towards the mountains and saw the winds ripping snow drifts off of the top of Hallett Peak. This black and white image really accentuates the snow drifts and the blustery conditions of that morning.
