This stunning full moon resting just above the Pacific Ocean was the first full moon of the year in 2021, setting just above the water on New Year’s Day. The air was cool and calm, and despite sitting on a fairly popular beach, there was nobody around. Likely recovering from the prior evening’s festivities! I love this image, and it’s one of my personal prints in my home. The gradient of colors in the sky is just beautiful, and the final print has a commanding yet calm presence.
